Boating and Boats - the News

Despite the major capital city boats shows for 2007 being confined to the history books, the Powerboat-World team has been well and truly in ‘boat show mode?this week.

We bring you a wrap-up of the Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show over there in the Golden West and preview the approaching Gold Coast Boat Show and the Akuna Bay Festival of Boating.

We take a look at the recent study undertaken in relation to PFD wear, always a touchy subject with boaters. And don’t miss our friendly warning on the need to upgrade your EPIRB and offshore distress systems.

Next week we’ll be at the Gold Coast Boat Show at the Carrara Sports Complex, the first industry-owned show to be staged on the so-called ‘glitter strip?and we’ll have a full report on the happenings there. We’ll also have a wrap up on what I termed ‘the heavyweight champ? the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

BTW - later in the year we will be in Phuket, Thailand for PIMEX, the vibrant show that dominates the Thai scene.

So, stick around, as always if you wish to keep in touch with the world of boating and boats all you need is Powerboat-World’s weekly round-up and of course if you can't wait, the Powerboat-World team are updating the web site all week.
