Well, what a week that was! I guess there’s no need to point out that the major occurrence over the past few days has been the apparent demise, hopefully temporary, of the Mustang Marine Group.

Receivers in, suppliers and staff locked out, it was all looking pretty nasty. Fortunately one of the top insolvency firms Ferrier Hodgson has been called in and those involved can take some solace in the fact that the situation is in expert hands.

Last week, we mentioned a unique Sydney Try Boating Day organised by Stacer. Well, it’s still on, it’s extended to two days, but be aware, the date has changed.

The Gold Coast Boat Show opens today and Powerboat-World will be in the crowd somewhere and we’ll bring a full report on the event next week.

For Sydneysiders, get down to the d’Albora Marinas facility at Akuna Bay for the 11th Festival of Boats – it will be a top day’s outing, particularly with the brilliant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance theatre performing.

Some interesting comments on do’s and don’t with ethanol 10 for outboard engines, Fort Lauderdale is underway and we have lots of local industry news.

It’s all happening and it’s all here.

Whatever you need to know I the world of Boating and Boats, it’s as simple as visiting Powerboat-World.com
