Well, hope you have plenty of time on your hands, for this week's Powerboat-World is packed with what could only be described as the powerboat news of the world.

Offshore racing in Europe, Redcliffe ready to rumble, and radical offshore rule changes put forward by Bill Barry-Cotter accepted unanimously.

Helicopters provide great Superboat views  Powerboat-World.com ©
We preview some of the crews lining up for the Redcliffe 100 next weekend which, in case you were not aware, is the opening round of the ‘08/'09 Australian Offshore Championship season.

We'll be at Redcliffe, I'll be helicopter-borne and camera armed and if the weather is kind look for some (hopefully) great action shots from the big race.

Earthrace is coming to Australia, the 78 foot New Zealand built round the world record breaking trimaran will be in Queensland by December and she will be stopping at major locations on the east coast, certainly worth a look.

You can buy her at the end of the promotional tour, after the Auckland International Boat Show in March 2009 for $1.5 million.

If you're in the market for a new boat, take a look at ‘Second Chance', she's yours for a trifling USD$15,500,000 or, closer to home (and a little more economical, Maritimo's very stylish Aegean 60.

We have all kind of news on Powerboat-World, Australian might have lost the Bledisloe Cup, but the Riviera guys report they have won the Bloodislow Cup, providing 434 litres of blood to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service in the last 12 months.

Powerboat-world is not just about racing, though we know this week there is lots of that.

We are lining up lots of interesting new content. In upcoming weeks you will find new boats, jetskis, motor yachts, outboards and engine specifications and you will be able to compare brands and models online.
