The Volvo fleet isnow complete in Cape Town, and here are pics of what happened to Green Dragon's keel after she hit an unidentified object - no structural damage, but boy that looks slow!

The Thai Platu National Champs Series has wound up (read all about it) and the Vendee Globe is about to start.

Sail-World Asia is in Xiamen, China, for the weekend, doing some sailing (for a change). This is the J-Boats Asia Invitational, slated as "a gentlemanly weekend in J-80s". Hmmm, we know some of the other competitors! Report in due course.

Green Dragon assess keel damage

The Green Dragon has been stripped, the sails, boom, bunks, kit bags, rubbish, spare supplies and mast have been removed. This morning at 1000 local time (GMT + 2), Green Dragon was craned out of the water and into her temporary home. The first job was to assess the damage to the keel.
