Dent to Dunk Centenary Race and Rally

Way back in 1909, 100 years ago last February 20th, a race was sailed from Dent Island in the Whitsundays, to Dunk Island, about 220 NM. The number of starters is unknown, but the winner was Bert Dunstone, skipper of the gaff rigged cutter Pilot from Townsville. Green Dragon finishes in Boston to complete Volvo fleet

Green Dragon finished leg six of the Volvo Ocean Race at 16:08 GMT, after 15 days, 22 hours, 8 minutes and 10 seconds at sea. Volvo Ocean Race - Telefonica Black wins fight for fifth place

The fight for fifth place in leg six of the Volvo Ocean Race went down to the wire today. After a tremendous battle, Telefónica Black crossed the finish ahead of Delta Lloyd and claimed the four points on offer for fifth place, finishing at 0948 GMT (0448 local).
