In this issue we feature news from the UK and the international scene.

Saturday the Volvo Ocean Race started the first of three legs, which will take the seven-strong fleet to the finish in St Petersburg, Russia, later this month, Green Dragon got off to a perfect start and led the fleet to the Fastnet Rock – Some great images of the fleet blasting down Ireland and into the Channel.

Over in Korea Ian Williams made the final of the Korea Match Cup where he met Italy's Paolo Cian and a little nearer home, sparkling conditions for the competitors in the RORC IRC National Championship sailed in the Solent. With Dave Dwyer's Mills 39, MarinersCove.ie from Ireland winning the overall championship.

Plus the Finn World Masters and the A-Cat Europeans and can the Australians plan to run the Admiral's Cup at Geelong week get sufficient backing?
