Thailand wins Nations Trophy at Asian Youth Games in Singapore

Thailand took the nations trophy as the final medals were decided at the Asian Youth Games during the last day of racing in Singapore. Racing on the last day proved to be just as intense as the previous days on all fleets - courtesy race or not, the sailors put up a good show in the 15 knot breeze to make the final race a memorable one.... Tight racing at Star Class 2009 European Championships Day 1

Sailors seal up medals early at Asian Youth Games

One race on the Byte course and two on the Bic Technos' brought both classes up to race 10 on the fifth day of racing, and already the medals are all but sewn up. Alinghi catamaran unveiled in Villeneuve

Laser builder appointed to the Order of Canada

Ian Bruce (Montreal) builder and co-designer of the International Laser class, was awarded the Order of Canada on Canada Day, 1st July. Bruce was one of 60 new appointments to the Order of Canada.
