Welcome Sail-World.Com's USA newsletter for 15 September 2009

We came very close to having a newsletter that did not mention America's Cup or its associated events, however we had to cover the final sail of Alinghi 5 in Genoa, Italy and the umpteenth relaunch of BMW Oracle Racing's BOR90, after maintenance and modifications.

We have no further updates on the Louis Vuitton World Series, at this stage.

The Skandia Go for Gold regatta started overnight in Weymouth, England. we have a report from two of the US crews along with other reports from the Olympic venue.

Rolex Big Boat Series - Day Four   Chuck Lantz

Racing got underway in the final event of theAudi MedCup series leader Emirates Team NZ placed well yesterday, in the Practice Race. They are expected to do well in this series, but nevertheless take a substantial overall points lead going into the regatta.

The Six Metre Worlds are over in Newport in Newport, RI. We have reports on the finish of the regatta plus images - and same on the other coast with the conclusion of the Rolex Big Boat Series in San Francisco.

Don't forget to catch our video of the recordbreaking run in L'Hydroptere - it is in a bigger screen format, or you can enlarge to full screen.
