Jimmy Spithill was tooling along on the 90 footer and the mast came down - not a good day for the BMW Oracle team. South Australian AC Jurist David Tillett confirmed to Sail-World today he is heading for New York on Friday to chair the special three man jury to provide some sailing advice for Justice Shirley Kornreich on Saturday. We are close to the action and will keep you updated.

BMW Oracle Racing have just advised that their 90ft trimaran has dropped her rig while trialling off San Diego. The statement from the team says that no-one as hurt in the incident and all crew are safe. The incident happened four hours ago Support craft were with the race boat at the time and are currently working to salvage the rig and get the boat back to shore.... [more]
