Mathieu Richard (French Match racing Team) is well placed to make the Monsoon Cup quarter finals, and as the favourites for the World Match Racing Tour Championship title seems to be stumbling, Richard holds his ground.

Franck Cammas and Groupama 3 are heading back to Brest, after repairs to the trimaran were completed in Cape Town.

More details of the Global Ocean Race 2011-12 have been announced and Team Finland is fighting Spirit of Australia for the lead, as the Clipper fleet heads to Geraldton, Western Australia.
