This weekend the America's Cup caravan, albeit without the 2009 players moves to Auckland with the Omega Match Racing event and then the Louis Vuitton series.
As you would expect our Sail-World coverage will be intense. You will be able to watch the live feed and replays on Sail-World.com
As we reported on MarineBusiness-World.com yesterday we've had a booming start to 2010, with a record 190,000 unique visitors in February, our intensive AC coverage had more than a little to do with that.
With the America's Cup looking like its going to return to better days, there is much mainstream media interest with the big guns jetting in to Auckland.
The very well known British Yachting journalist, Stuart Alexander, (the Vicar), who writes for the Independent was run down by a Kiwi 4WD near the Viaduct in Auckland yesterday.
At the Qingdao Olympics, we (the Sail-World team) had a wheel chair with a label The Fish, in place for the veteran Fisher, when he arrived in the Media Centre to work with us.
At the time Stuart thought it was a hoot and we all laughed over a few ales about it for night after night during the sailing competition.
Today Bob now assured that is his Pommy mate is OK, is looking forward to turning the tables. We expect to the Vicar in a wheelchair with the Fish, Bob Fisher on helm by the weekend. Now that will be a combination!
Over in Oz, the Audi Sydney Harbour regatta will run this Saturday and Sunday and we will have the latest from Sydney Harbour too!
