By far the biggest news of this week has been the dismasting and rescue of the American teenager Abby Sunderland from the Southern Ocean and we have all the latest.
The Giraglia Rolex Cup is underway in Italy, while the Loro Piana Superyacht regatta has just finished in Costa Smeralda. The RC44s have been racing in cold and rain in Copenhagen, we have great images and a story on the 72nd Bol D'or on Lake Geneva, catch up on the latest from the Vuelta España a Vela, Round Spain race, as well as the Classic Fyn Rundt. The PWA Slalolm World Cup has just finished its Spanish round and Zwitserleven Sailing Week is underway.
Our congratulations to new Star European Champions Johannes Polgar and Markus Koy who lead the regatta from start to finish.
The new Laser Standard European Champion is Croatian Tonci Stipanovic, while Tina Mihelic, also from Croatia is the new Laser Radial Champion.
And we can't forget Mathieu Richard, winner of Match Cup Korea (the third stage of the World Match Racing Tour).

A total of 62 Nacra catamarans, representing nine countries, lined up for the first event of the 2010 Zwitserleven Sailing Week. Lake Geneva Bol d'Or: A fine victory for Dona Bertarelli Jobé Jean Philippe, 72nd edition of the Lake Genva Bol D'or: First win for a multihull staffed by a mostly female team lead by Dona Bertarelli. Record participation of international IRC Yachts at Classic Fyn Rundt Hans Genthe, 16 IRC yachts sailed the 150-mile track around the Danish Island of Funen, together with 151 other, mostly Danish yachts. The regatta 'Classic Fyn Rundt' of the 'Kerteminde Sejlklub' is one of the major regattas that take place in the Danish Islands. Abby Sunderland on board rescue vessel Sail-World and AMSA Media, The Australian Maritime Safety Authority has confirmed the safe rescue of Abby Sunderland from her Open 40 yacht, Wild Eyes. It is presumed that the yacht has been abandoned in the Southern Ocean, as there is no mention of her in the media release.
