Glorious weekend for sailing

Welcome to this edition of our Sail-World UK newsletter.

The weather this weekend made it hard to stay inside and watch football and judging by the number of summer events conducted, a lot of sailors chose to be out and about.

Locally the RS Fevas held their season finale, the Royal Southern conducted their July regatta, while at Cowes the Dragon fleet battled for the Edinburgh Cup. Izzy Hamilton picked up silver in the RS:X Youth European Championships and youngsters everywhere were having fun; from windsurfing to dinghy racing, its great to see all enjoying their summer.

Internationally the 29er European Championships have just concluded, the Rolex Baltic Week winners received their trophies, Ian Williams and his GAC Team Pindar are preparing for Stena Match Cup in Sweden, the RS:X European Championships are under way and there is news on the 34th America's Cup.

Lots more, enjoy this week's edition.
