Welcome to this week's UK newsletter.
An Irish team is the 17th entry in the Global Ocean Race and Ben Ainslie says he is disappointed being out of the America's Cup. There's local dinghy news from the RS800 Inlands, the Solo Inlands, the Contender Inlands plus Ovington Inlands images from Tania Samus.
This week's edition is full of news from the Route du Rhum with various skippers suffering boat damage and withdrawing from the race while French skipper Sidney Gavignet has had to be rescued. You can read all the latest news about the race on Sail-World.com.

Oman Air Majan skipper safely onboard bulk carrier Into the Blue, After a long night for the Oman Air Majan team, they are pleased to report that skipper Sidney Gavignet is now safely onboard the bulk carrier Kavo Alexander. The incident which occurred at 1635 CET yesterday (03.11.10) was dealt with swiftly by the shore team, race management, rescue teams and crew of the Kavo Alexander who ensured Sidney's rescue within four hours or his first call....
