Yacht and Boat Korea new dates, Dubai cruising ambition, Miami ahead
As many regional towns in three states of Australia and the Queensland capital, Brisbane continue to weather rising waters and the aftermath - felt as well in Sri Lanka and Brazil with as much terror and sadly, many more fatalities - our thoughts are with the rescue teams and those charged with organising the clean up.
Many marine businesses have suffered, hundreds of boat owners have lost their pride and joy. Their stories will come to light once the debris has been cleared and mud shoveled from streets and homes.
Many more businesses in our industry have stepped up to aid in rescue and recovery, including Sirocco Marine North lending the use of one of its amphibious Sealegs vessels. If you want to do your part, contact your local Rotary Club or the City Council of the area you can send relief or manpower to. Our friends in Indonesia, NZ and as far as the US have sent supplies and people to assist.
This week, we have plenty of interesting industry news, from Australia, NZ, Asia, the US and Middle East. In Korea, this year's Yacht and Boat show has been rescheduled to May, with plenty of industry networking opportunities and an extra day added.
Very soon we will reveal some of the exciting program and attractions of this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 19-22 May, together with plenty of information about exhibitors and some new strategies from event organisers.
