What a vibrant sphere is the world of sailing - with adventurers, inventions, innovations, discoveries, tales of idyllic cruising and amazing heroism all competing for attention.
This week we feature 16 Polynesian adventurers who are in the middle of a double crossing of the Pacific in their traditional sailing canoes, vakas.
A couple of Australians are midway through their transit of the once-dreaded North West Passage, we tell of advances in technology for wave-powered boats, another rally is happening as I write in South East Asia, and Oceans Watch tell sailing tales of how they are helping Pacific Islanders to live sustainably and protect their heritage.
On the practical side we deliver some great techniques for sailing when there's no visibility, and there's an App for your iPhone which will allow you to tell what the tide is as easily as tell the time.
Many more stories too, so, as usual, you need to browse through the headlines to find your own interest.
