Etchells NSW States: dramatic day as Taylor continues to lead

The fleet headed out mid-morning looking forward to fresher breezes and three races. Unfortunately a weather phenomenon decided to settle over Pittwater and all the way up to Sydney Harbour. It was a wet start to the Lipton Cup Regatta, in Melbourne today, as the heavens opened for most of today's racing. A light 5 - 10 knot NW greeted the fleet but so did the rain, which made for some unpleasant conditions on the water. As the day progressed the wind, did a virtual 180 degree shift, and the breeze kicked in to around 20 knots.... [more]

Gotta Love It 7 Team scores a brilliant 3-Buoys victory

With owner Larry Ellison in the sixth-man seat aboard Oracle Racing 4, Jimmy Spithill and his crew turned on a strident performance to beat Emirates Team New Zealand in two straight races to go into the final of the ACWS Match Racing Championship.
