Maserati record attempt thwarted

The Maserati crew have returned to Charleston after their rudder was damaged while sailing toward Cape Hatteras last night. Maserati's windward rudder sustained significant damaged after hitting a chunk of wood in the Atlantic. Once in Charleston, the rudder will be immediately replaced with a spare.... [more]

Rena Disaster: Interim report released citing combination of factors

The incident occurred at 2.14am on 15 October 2011, and is New Zealand's biggest environmental disaster, an as yet incomplete recovery operation has cost over $130million and killed over 2000 sea creatures...
