Not much longer and we'll all be welcoming the Kiwi entry home (with plenty of Aussies onboard too), bringing home the silverware, soaking up the accolades and adoration (and Moet!) and planning the defense!
Imagine the Dock Outs-Kiwi style? It will be awesome, bro!

From all corners of the globe this week, marine news and views, products and personalities.
First up, the post-show report from the recent Brisbane Boat Show. By all accounts, it was a success for exhibitors and Marine Queensland was satisfied with the visitor numbers in its first year returning to the RNA Showgrounds.

AIMEX/Superyacht Australia, among other industry bodies, is positive about the recent Coalition win, confident their policies for Manufacturing, Export, Trade & Investment will address the key barriers to growth in the marine, export and superyacht sectors.
CEO, MaryAnne Edwards says the Coalition's policies will certainly give some confidence to the marine export and superyacht sectors. 'We now have a government that thinks of facilitation not regulation. It is great to see that this new government is taking a far more positive view of the importance of the EMDG scheme and we hope to work closely with them to ensure industry starts to get the support needed to drive export markets.'
This week, Malcolm Turnbull, Patron of Sailors with disabilities (SWD) launched a fantastic initiative - Faceboat - which offers donors to the charity the chance to join the crew of Kayle, an entrant in the 2013 Rolex Sydney to Hobart, as well as having their face adorn the hull! You could be among them! Just visit www.faceboat.org.au and pledge $25, then upload your face!
Arvor 280 to debut in NZ at the Auckland on Water Boat Show Collins Marine
One fantastic little boat bound to make waves at the upcoming Auckland on Water Boat Show, 26-29 September, is the Arvor 280 - a dynamic boat that will suit NZ conditions and boating perfectly. Bailey Marine NZ will be launching the versatile Arvor 280, which features a large cockpit and great interior. At 9.50m, Arvor 280 AS can accommodate up to nine people for fishing expeditions and days out with the family. The spacious entertaining areas can also be easily converted to offer four berths should overnight accommodation be required. What a beauty!
And from Italy, in the realm of massive maritime undertakings: She's twice the size of the Titanic - 100,000 tonnes, three football fields in length - and has perched precariously on rocks on her side since foundering off the Tuscan coast on the night of January 13, 2012, in a tragedy that claimed 32 lives. Now the Costa Concordia is the subject of the world's largest salvage operation, one which is likely to cost US$1bn!
