Congestion on the Bosuns' race course - 2013 London Regatta  Clive Reffell

Last weekend a fleet of 46 dinghies competed in the 2013 London Regatta, held on the Greenwich stretch of the River Thames. The annual one day full-closure test of the Thames Barrier made the river a temporary non-tidal waterway with no through traffic.

Despite the generally very light winds, Northampton Sailing Club provided a fitting battle of former champions for the 2013 OK Dinghy Inland Championship. Nick Craig was the favourite to take a seventh title, but didn't have it all his own way with former world champion Jim Hunt still looking for his first UK title and recent National Champion Robert Deaves going for the double. Meanwhile, the current inland champion Terry Curtis didn't show much of the form that has won him a pile of titles over the past decade.

Team15 Champions Cup  RYA

The event will see around 90 young windsurfers from across the UK take to the water to battle it out in a bid to win the prestigious title of Team15 National Champions 2013. The seven windsurfing teams have earned their places after winning a series of highly competitive regional heats in the T15 Inter-Club Championship that took place throughout the UK this summer.
