Winter sailing adventures, new seasick cure and more...
For the rest of us, there maybe a boatshow or two to attend – read this week's story on the London Boat Show. BoatUS offers some advice for if you have to truck your sailboat this winter. Winter is also a time for planning, so for adventurous souls, what better than planning on taking a crewing position in the Black Sea Regatta next April?
Planning your next season of sailing is a great way to wile away the winter too. Do you get seasick – ever? If you do, there's something new and clever to try (is it a pill? is it a patch? No, it's spectacles!), and it's just been nominated for a design award.
Nominated for a DAME award for innovation .. .
Celebration of great achievements is part of the landscape of the cruising world, so this week we bring you a painting – of Pete Goss in the Southern Ocean, and a documentary – of Laura Dekker's amazing circumnavigation.
John Jamieson is back with some more useful advice on sail trimming and a final year student has invented a still-better life jacket.
